Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. The name Aquamarine comes from the Latin words: aqua, meaning “water,” and marina, meaning “of the sea", some like to believe that its the treasure of the mermaids. 

 

Aquamarine is also known as the stone of courage, it is said to reduces stress and calms the mind.
